There is only one of this piece. Once it is sold it will not come back: every firing gives a different result.

White over red is a delicate pairing: the red has to be laid on in just the right measure for the white to come out of the kiln clean, and that is where experience shows. Here the flower has stayed clean.
It is the least expensive way to own a hand-painted decoration, and the easiest to send: flat, with nothing sticking out, it survives a parcel being set down on its side.
