Deep reds, blues and blacks, grotesques and putti: the maiolica of the Medici courts, an hour from Florence.
Florence is half an hour from Certaldo, and the great Renaissance maiolica was born around here: grotesques, putti, lilies, scrolls, and the intense reds and blues you see in old apothecaries and palazzi. Gabriella reinterprets it in her most theatrical pieces.
The set brings together the raffaellesco plate, the red centrepiece with rope handles, the peonies on black, the Ricco plate and the coffee cup: for a table, or a wall, that people remember.
