Geometric black and white bands around the body, with a solid black handle. The dark handle is the only part in a flat colour, and it is there to close the pattern: without it the chequerwork would look interrupted.
The shape is made for everyday use, but the decoration is not a print: it is painted by hand, band by band, and close up you can see it.
