Wall plates

Plates made to be hung, not used at table. The decoration is built around the centre and is meant to be looked at from a standstill, like a picture: that is why the drawing is denser and the colours more contrasted than on plates for use.

The back carries the hole or ring for hanging. On a pale wall the dark grounds read better; on a wall that is already busy, one large plate works better than three small ones.
